Interior design on the Costa del Sol for Danish owners
Danish clients tend to arrive with a clear brief: honest materials, generous daylight, storage that disappears into the architecture. We plan Spanish houses that way, then run the work locally while you stay in Denmark.

Nordic planning, Southern light
The method travels: measure the house properly, plan circulation, daylight and storage before choosing anything, then specify fewer materials of better quality.
The palette does not travel unchanged. The light here is much stronger and life happens on the terrace, so we work warmer — stone, oak, lime plaster, linen — and plan sightlines out towards garden and sea.
What usually needs rethinking in an older Spanish house
Kitchens closed off in their own room, a dark centre to the plan, and far too little built-in storage for a family that actually lives there part of the year.
Those three moves — open the plan towards the light, rebuild the storage, simplify the materials — change the house more than any amount of decoration.
Run while you are in Denmark
We tender the trades on our drawings, attend site, check the work against what you approved and report with photographs on an agreed rhythm.
Furniture, joinery and lighting are ordered early, tracked, delivered and installed, so the house is finished the day you land.

So arbeiten wir
Der Ablauf, Schritt für Schritt.
First conversation
Usually a video call with your floor plan on screen, arranged around your time zone rather than ours.
Site visit and survey
We measure the property properly and read the plan: daylight through the day, wasted circulation, missing storage.
Concept and drawings
Layouts, materials, lighting plans and renders of the key rooms, presented in batches so you decide in one sitting.
Tender and programme
Contractors are tendered on our own drawings, so you compare real prices on the same scope before anything starts.
Site supervision and reporting
We attend site, check the work against the drawings and report progress with photographs on an agreed rhythm.
Installation and handover
Furniture, joinery and lighting delivered, installed and styled, so the house is finished the day you arrive.
Projektbeispiele
Three houses on the coast, delivered for owners who were living in Northern Europe throughout the work.
Fragen
Häufige Fragen
- Which language do we work in?
- English or Swedish, whichever you prefer. Danish clients usually find Swedish workable for conversation and choose English for written drawings and decisions. Everything sent to the trades is translated into Spanish by us.
- Can you match a Danish level of detailing in Spain?
- Where it matters most — joinery, lighting, junctions — yes, because it is drawn and then checked on site. That checking is the part that is usually missing.
- Do we need to be present during the works?
- No. Nearly all our projects run with the owner in another country.
- Can you help before we buy?
- Yes. Send the listing and we will tell you what the plan allows and roughly what changing it involves.
Planning a home on the coast from Denmark?
Send the address or listing, a floor plan if you have one, and how you plan to use the home. We reply within two working days with a first view on scope, timeline and a realistic budget range.
